Una bola de desmadrosos!
First picture is the undocuqueer speakers. Alex & Nico (CAD Walkers) and I talked about the intersectionality of queer issues in the immigrant rights movement.
Second is Daniela Hernandez, a fierce mujer from Arizona who 3 months ago got arrested in a civil disobedience protesting Joe Arpaio’s harsh ruling of Maricopa county. She talked about how it is to live in Arizona as undocumented & unafraid.
Third picture is Putri. She is a 18 year old undocumented student from Indonesia who faces deportation come this December. She was so courageous as she talked about how it feels to be in proceedings since just this February they were set to be deported and got an extended stay of removal until December. She made it clear that even with Obama’s policy, her mom won’t be granted relief. It was a heartbreaking story and what made it even more bittersweet was that her mom was there to support her :’)
Last picture is the Undocuppiers. Javier Hernandez & Veronica from Colorado and the Oakland 4 (Blanca V., Irving P., Luis S. and I). They talked about the actions that we did around the country demanding Obama sign that executive order.
